S-8338AAHA-P8T1G is a single-chip, step-down switching regulator controller designed for low power, low standby power DC-DC conversion applications such as adaptive power supplies and laptop adapter packs. This PMIC device features fixed frequency and current-mode control, with user-adjustable internal reference voltage, clock divider and pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency. It also includes a low on-resistance gate-drive voltage regulator and a soft-start function.
The S-8338AAHA-P8T1G is ideal for general purpose step down DC-DC applications as its regulation is designed for tight line voltage regulation and low output voltage ripple. This device can also be used for other applications such as battery charge controllers, silent step-down converters, ATX PSUs, telecom and automotive applications. The power switch can handle currents up to 5A and external P-Channel MOSFETs making it suitable for automotive and telecom applications.
