It is part of a family of voltage regulators, known as PMIC - Voltage Regulators - DC/DC Switching Controllers. The S-8521B15MC-ATAT2G is a 4-phase step-down controller, which provides a maximum output current of 6.2A. The device features an adjustable operating frequency up to 250kHz, enabling the design of a low noise, high efficiency power solution.
