Working Principle

The working principle of the S8VM-01515C is taken from the concepts of transformer and rectifier principles. First, AC power is supplied by the mains power supply and it will pass through the isolation transformer into the rectifier bridge. DC voltage will be generated with the desirable waveforms at the output. In the second step, the output voltage of the rectifier will be boosted with the power semiconductor switch to the desired voltage. As the power transistor is completely closed, no component current will pass through it, and thus, the power transistor will not be heated and efficiency of the S8VM-01515C module will be greatly improved.

The next step is the energy regulation. A feedback loop is included in the module. It will compare the voltage output and the reference voltage which is calculated from current supplied. In accordance of the difference between the two voltages, the module will regulate and adjust the pulse width of each power transistor to ensure that the desired output voltage is stable and accurate. Finally, the isolated filter will help to reduce the noise from the output waves, thus provides a clean DC output.
