The SA39-12YWA is a LED character display module that is used for a variety of applications. It can be used as a text display for warning systems, medical equipment, and other industrial applications, or as a time display for clocks and timers. The SA39-12YWA is character-based and will display a maximum of 12 characters in a 7-segment format.

The module is constructed with a dual-row connector for connection to the processor and power supply, as well as a 12-position (3x4 matrix) terminal block for the display and control segments. It has total forward voltage of 14.7V and a power source of 10.2 to 14.2 V DC. The total display power consumption is approximately 8V DC and the power supply current is approximately 150mA.

The SA39-12YWA has two modes of operation, static or multiplexed. In static mode, each digit is powered separately and each of the seven segments is connected to its own pin on the terminal block. This allows the user to select which digits are powered and when. In multiplexed mode, the display is powered from one pin on the terminal block and all of the segments within each character are connected in series. This reduces the overall power consumption for the display and increases the display refresh rate.

The SA39-12YWA also has a built-in static boost circuit for improving contrast and viewing angle of the display. This circuit is integrated with the low power consumption design and its temperature management controller allows the device to be used in harsh environment conditions. Another convenient feature of this module is its self-diagnostic performance to monitor its working conditions.
