It combines an advanced four-stage video amplifier, wide dynamic range video matrix and a proprietary color comb filter into one chip solution. The SAA7118E/V1,518 offers the highest picture quality available with breathtaking colors and clarity. It features a low power consumption and low heat, making it ideal for use in portable DVD players.The SAA7118E/V 1,518 is a multi-functional device that can decode and output YUV/RGB formats. The device has up to 8 integrated analog video inputs and 1 channel of output that can be configured to provide YUV or RGB signal formats with both NTSC and PAL support. It also enables Chroma scaling and precoding, which provide superb signal resolution and color fidelity.The SAA7118E/V1,518 is designed to accept composite, S-Video, and component video with resolutions up to 1080i/720p and decode the signal into a progressive digital YUV/RGB format.
