An onboard ARM9 processor provides the main brainpower of the board. There is also a 24-bit 16-channel A/D converter, multiple digital I/O, peripheral interfaces, and various power supply options. The ARM9 processor is powered by a 32-bit, Speed-Grade ARM9 processor and is highly capable of scheduling tasks and/or executing software interrupts in real-time. This powerful processor is ideal for the time-critical operations and the constant monitoring of real-time events, such as programs, clock cycles and interrupts.The SABMB910020 evaluation and demonstration board also comes with an onboard 24-bit 16-channel A/D converter, allowing users to convert complex analog signals into multi-bit digital samples. This makes it ideal for applications that require a wide range of input levels, as it can trend up to 48 dB – providing noise immunity and a strong signal-to-noise ratio.The SABMB910020 also provides multiple Digital I/O sources. Controlled through dedicated software, users can interface with a number of peripherals via their digital I/O. The integrated timers allow these peripherals to be configured and used as a counter or a timer. In addition, the timer can also be configured to generate PWM or be used as a pulse timer. To complete the features of the board, several peripheral interfaces are available. Serial popular interfaces, such as CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C interfaces are all included. In addition, the board also provides GPIOs, on/off switches, D/A converters, motor control, and analog inputs for power supply options.All of these features add up to create an evaluation and demonstration board – the SABMB910020 – that can be used for a variety of different applications.
