1. Description

The EVK-N2 evaluation kit consists of three boards:

   1. The lower part is called EVB-WL3, which contains the power supply and other peripherals of SARA-N2 Module (such as SIM card holder and "reset" button).

   2. The cellular adapter board called ADP-N2 contains SARA-N2 module, cellular antenna Connector and DIL connector (J101 and J104).

   3. GNSS adapter board called ADP-GNSS contains u-blox GNSS module, GNSS antenna The USB connector and USB connector of the GNSS module.

These boards are connected to the board connectors through male header boards mounted on the motherboard. The bottom of the adapter board and its corresponding female connector (located on the top of the lower part) board. SARA-N2 series pins can be used on the provided dual in-line male-to-board connectors On the top layer of the cellular adapter board (J101 and J104), they are pin-to-pin compatible with notebook computers. The connector on the bottom layer of the adapter board EVB-WL3. Provide communication with SARA-N2 module through cellular RS232 DB9 connector (J500) or Cellular USB Mini-USB connector (J501), available on EVB-WL3 board. UART The interface of the SARA-N2 module is routed to connectors J500 and J501. Mini-USB / DB9 The slide switch (SW403) must be set according to the selected connector.
