The working principle of SC-1E includes three steps. First, it collects data from the measured objects such as temperature, pressure and also the status of the external environment. Then, the digital signal processing unit performs the process calculation and identifies the operation and adjustment conditions. Finally, the output control signal, such as electric signal, pneumatic signal, hydraulic signal, is sent to the outside, meanwhile the determined control action is taken.

The whole working process can be divided into three parts. The first part is data acquisition, in which the data from the sensors are collected. The collected raw data will be analyzed and processed in order to have an understanding of the current situation. The second part is process calculation. In this process, the processor will analyze and process the data to calculate and identify the adjustment conditions. The last part is output control. The controller will use the determined adjustments to generate control signals which are sent to the actuators to take action. Based on these signals, actuators will take the assigned action time.
