SC04-11CGKWA is an LED numeric display module with an emitting color of either green or red. This 7-segment display module is a British standard-sized product from Crystal Display System, and has a dimension of 4.8 x 3.9 x 0.87 cm for applications with limited space.

Working Principle

The crystal display is designed to light up the numbers 0-9 in the form of segments on the module. Starting from the upper left corner, the seven segments are numbered 1-7. When voltage is applied to the segment position, light is emitted from the module, completing the display of the number set.

At its core, the display module consists of an LED backlight, a mask and seven LEDs (light emitting diodes). The backlight ensures that the light emitted is evenly distributed while the mask acts as a light filter, blocking out unnecessary light. The seven LEDs are distributed across the circumference of the module and each diode is programmed to light up a series of numbers, allowing the display of the full gamut of numbers.
