SC427MLTRT is a monolithic PMIC – Voltage Regulator – Linear + Switching integrated circuit (IC). It is specifically designed to provide a low-voltage output in a wide range of current applications.The SC427MLTRT can be used to generate a low-voltage output, from a nominal input of 1.8V to 24V, over a wide range of current from 50mA to 3A. It has an adjustable output voltage of 0.9 to 28V, and it also supports a 32V maximum transient voltage for rapid load transients. The SC427MLTRT features low output noise, fast transient response, and excellent load and line regulation. The output voltage is easily adjustable, and the input current can be programmed over the operating temperature range.The SC427MLTRT is manufactured with a high-efficiency internal regulator and can generate a low-voltage signal through a wide range of current applications. This IC ensures accurate output voltage over the line and load conditions, and also features excellent thermal performance. The SC427MLTRT includes a low-noise voltage source with a wide range of output currents to provide efficient signal delivery. Additionally, the IC has a short circuit protection feature with high cycle-by-cycle current limit and a thermal protector with over-current protection.The SC427MLTRT uses an internal configuration of an adjustable transient controller, an adjustable current limiter and a digital soft-start circuit for rapid output voltage (Vout) transitioning. The controller is based on High Side N-Channel MOSFET topology, which provides an efficient, low-noise and low-ripple efficiency output. Furthermore, the IC also provides a built-in charge pump circuit for high-current applications, and an optional LDO voltage regulator for low-power applications.The working principle of the SC427MLTRT is based on the use of a high-frequency buck-boost converter. The IC allows current to flow through the inductor, and then passes through the internal switch, which allows the energy stored in the inductor to be released. This creates a DC output voltage at Vout, which is then adjusted by the output voltage setting on the IC.
