SC431LC5SK-1TRT, as a PMIC – Voltage Reference IC, is a voltage monitoring integrated circuit. It features adjustable over/under voltage protection, such as over voltage protection (OVP), under voltage protection (UVP), and temperature protection. The output of the IC is a reference voltage up to 5.0V, which is capable of providing a stable voltage source for modern systems. The IC is designed and manufactured in a telephone-type, single in-line package, or SIP package for short.
SC431LC5SK-1TRT to achieve over and under voltage protection, the integrated circuit is designed with an amplifying system and two comparators connected in series. In the amplifying system, the reference voltage is amplified to a selectable threshold voltage by adjusting the inbuilt resistors. To do this, it includes a built-in temperature sensor to monitor the temperature within the integrated circuit. The temperature sensor provides voltage readings in relation to the ambient temperature. If the temperature exceeds the pre-set limits, the sensor would then switch off the voltage trip and the output of the second comparator would be turned on. This would then protect the connected devices from any damage due to temperature fluctuations.
The SC431LC5SK-1TRT integrated circuit also provides adjustable over voltage protection.
