Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLC)

Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLC), sometimes referred to as supercapacitors, are a type of high energy storage device which combines the advantages of both batteries and conventional capacitors. They are used in applications such as renewable energy storage, automotive applications, and other situations where very large amounts of energy must be stored quickly and safely.
