The SCN-1468SC is a RFID card reader module specially developed by Shenzhen ADH. It is based on 13.56MHz contactless communication technology, and is mainly used in industry automation and various consumer systems. It has built-in antenna, IC card reading and writing, and USB communication.
Application Field
SCN-1468SC reader module is suitable for applications such as PC-based access control system, industrial control system, attendance system, high-speed, stable, reliable and safe data collection. Also, it can be applied in consumer areas such as hotel locks, portable applications, retail payment, inventory management, and social security.
Working Principle
The working principle of the SCN-1468SC is based on three components including a chip card reader antenna, a contactless card reader chip, and a power card. The RFID card reader module is typically used with an integrated chip card reader antenna, which is responsible for receiving RF signals from the contactless card reader chip. In turn, the contactless card reader chip is responsible for the transmission of data from the chip card reader antenna connected to the PC to the contactless card reader chip for the data analysis and processing. The power card is responsible for providing the supply power to the contactless card reader chip and also the chip card reader antenna.
The contactless card reader chip communicates with the card by emitting electromagnetic waves in 13.56Mhz. When a card with a chip is within the range of the reader, it receives an electromagnetic wave from a card reader and backscatters with the information stored in the chip. Thus, the circuit in the card reader can obtain data from the card.
The chip card reader antenna is responsible for receiving and transmitting the RFID signal. When a card is in the vicinity, it will be energized by the contactless card reader chip. This will cause the chips to backscatter the information stored on the card. This information is then read by the chip card reader antenna and passed on to the contactless card reader chip for further analysis.
The power card is responsible for providing the power required for the card reader module to work. It also provides a backup power source, in case the normal power supply fails. The power card is typically connected to the PC via a USB connector.
With all the three components working together, the SCN-1468SC RFID card reader module can effectively and securely read and write information from and to contactless card readers. This makes the SCN-1468SC an ideal choice for applications such as access control systems, attendance systems and industrial control systems.
