The SCR74B-150 is a type of fixed inductor suitable for high frequency supression circuits. It is designed to provide suppression of electrical noise from capacitive, inductive, and/or resistive components. This inductor can be used to reduce capacitive signals of up to 30-100MHz. The inductance of this inductor ranges from 150μH at 1MHz to 1.5μH at 100MHz.

The SCR74B-150 has a physical size of 13.2 x 10.2 x 5.9mm (L x W x H). This inductor can withstand up to 5A of current. The terminal pins of this inductor are made of copper to increase the electrical conductivity and the ability to dissipate heat quickly. The body of the inductor is made of a specialized thermoplastic that does not emit toxic substances.

The magnetizing and delayed arc discharge principle works on the basis of two stages. The first stage is the magnetizing stage. In this stage, an initial current is applied to the inductor, and the resulting magnetic field increases the voltage present in the inductor. This voltage continues to rise until it is limited by an external resistance. This voltage limitation prevents any further current increase and starts the second stage, which is the delayed arc discharge stage.

In the delayed arc discharge stage, the electromagnetic field of the inductor increases in strength until a spark is created which begins to dissipate energy. This spark will reduce the electrical noise created by the inductor. The process of delayed arc discharge is useful for reducing signals in circuits with a high current strength.
