Arrays
SCX147-200 is a direct current (DC) voltage array, which is designed in particular for the application in high frequency and high voltage AC conditions. It is suitable for high voltage AC or DC applications, including areas such as high frequency, low frequency and DC bias applications.
SCX147-200 is constructed of 6 independent output terminals in 3 steps. The output terminals are located along the midpoint of lower bound, and consist of 6 evenly spaced rows and 6 evenly spaced columns each with 2 output terminals. The output is voltage divided into 3 equal steps, with the highest step being the midpoint of lower limit. The output is then divided into two voltage values, each divided by three steps. The voltage output can be adjusted, ranging from 0–48V.
Signal Transformers
Signal transformers are used in SCX147-200 applications to convert AC signals into DC signals for the purpose of measuring input signals and controlling output level. These transformers are operated in a closed loop system, with the generated signal being sent to the main circuitry for further processing. The signal is then rectified by the signal transformer to be fully controlled and regulated.
Transformers are made from two equally wound coils, the primary winding or the input side and the secondary winding or the output side. When the input voltage varies, a transformer will either step up or step down the voltage to maintain the equilibrium voltage. While step up and step down transformers can both be used in SCX147-200 applications, the step up transformer is more commonly used.
In addition, the transformer is also used to reduce the amount of noise from the circuit and loading effect so that the voltage output is steady and accurate. This is done by inductive coupling of the readings in the transformer to avoid uncalibrated readings.
Working Principle
The SCX147-200 consists of a voltage array and a signal transformer. When AC current is passed through the voltage array, the output terminals produce voltage divided in three equal steps; the highest step being midpoint of lower limit. The generated voltage is sent through the signal transformer, where it will be converted into DC current. This DC current will be sent to the main circuitry for further processing.
The signal transformer\'s primary and secondary windings are designed to step up or step down the voltage signal, depending on the circuit requirements. The transformer also reduces any noise or loading effect from the circuit in order to generate a steady and accurate voltage output. The transformer also provides protection from any overvoltage condition.
The voltage array in the SCX147-200 is controlled electronically to provide a wide range of voltage output levels. This also allows the device to be used in many different applications such as high frequency, low frequency, and DC bias. The output voltage can be adjusted from 0-48V.
