It offers a comprehensive solution for applications where low voltage is required at high power levels.The SFS30481R5C is a buck topology converter with a wide input voltage range of 9V to 40V. It is also equipped with a built-in over voltage protection, short circuit protection and Automatic Power-down Function (APD) for added safety. The steady-state efficiency of the converter is up to 96% with an input voltage of 12V. The output power is 80W with a wide output voltage range of 1.2V-15V. The SFS30481R5C can also perform under the environmental temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.The SFS30481R5C has an internal frequency oscillator for seamless integration into a variety of designs. The frequency synchronization to an external clock is also available for better control and accuracy. An advanced soft-switch technology is used to minimize EMI generation.The Working Principle of the SFS30481R5C is simple. The high-voltage DC is first connected to the input terminal, and a buck topology is used to convert the DC voltage to a lower voltage. The inductor connected to the input terminal stores energy in the form of a magnetic field. When the switch is open, the magnetic field dissipates, and the energy is transferred to the output terminals, where the output voltage is regulated to the desired level.The applications of the converter include medical imaging systems, embedded systems in military and aerospace systems and electric component cooling system in automotive applications.
