Working Principle

The SFT44S55K391B-F film capacitor works on the idea of “dielectric polarization”, which is the creation of an electric field when two electrodes are placed in near proximity and subjected to a voltage. This electric field then creates a charge in the dielectric material between the two electrodes. This charge, in turn, creates an opposing electric field to the applied electric field, leading to a decrease in current and energy supplied, thus allowing the capacitor to store and release energy.
