Snap Action Switches
Snap action switches, also called snap acting switches, are electrical switches that turn the power on or off with a click. They are widely used in industrial, commercial and residential applications for controlling motors, pumps, HVAC systems, and many other industrial and/or home automation and control applications. Snap action switches are designed to mechanically latch and unlatch when the user pulls or pushes an actuator, triggering a snap action of the contacts.
SG-B1-SA-G1 Application Field and Working Principle
The SG-B1-SA-G1 snap action switch from Axend is designed for industrial applications and has a 25A at 120/240V AC25 rating. This type of switch uses mechanical latching, which means that the contacts require an external force to operate. This is done by an actuator, which can be either a plunger or a lever. The SG-B1-SA-G1 switch is used in applications requiring high-amperage switching, such as control panels, HVAC systems, and powerful motors and pumps.
When the actuator is engaged, the switch mechanism is triggered and the contacts are switched from open to closed or vice versa (depending on the actuation). The SG-B1-SA-G1 switch also has a built-in overload protection by using a thermal overload trip. This means that the switch will switch off when the current draw across the contacts exceeds a certain threshold, preventing the contacts from burning out.
Limit Switches
Limit switches are electromechanical devices that are used to detect the presence or absence of physical objects in a given system. They are typically used in automated and robotic processes to detect the limits of movement and/or sequence when controlling a process. Limit switches are typically used to detect the presence of an object and turn a device on or off depending on the pre-set limit.
SG-B1-SA-G1 Application Field and Working Principle
The SG-B1-SA-G1 limit switch from Axend is a two-pole limit switch designed for industrial applications. This type of switch uses a lever arm with a roller on the end that is actuated by a physical object, triggering a switch action. The SG-B1-SA-G1 limit switch is widely used in a variety of industrial settings, from controlling motors and pumps to HVAC systems and many other applications requiring precision switching.
The SG-B1-SA-G1 limit switch consists of a lever arm that is spring-loaded to move the roller on the end of the lever arm when it is struck by an object. When the roller strikes an object, this triggers a switch action that is connected to a positive or negative contact. The contact is then connected to the appropriate device in order to turn the system on or off depending on the pre-set limit switch settings.
