Working Principle of SHL-W255-L6MD11
The SHL-W255-L6MD11, like all Snap Action, Limit Switches, has a snap-action mechanism which, when triggered, suddenly switches between the programmable on and off position. This is accomplished through a combination of the switch’s internal bias springs and contact lever. The spring forces act against a contact lever that is attached to an actuator. When the Maximum desirable force is applied to the actuator manually or by an automated machine, the lever is bent, pushing the contacts in the off position. Once the force is removed, the spring force immediately pushes the lever back to the initial position, thus pushing the contacts back to the on position.
The SHL-W255-L6MD11 features a built-in positive break mechanism for consistent, reliable operation over its operating life. The body of the switch is made from a robust, stainless steel frame which ensures long-term durability and reliability. The switch is also designed with adjustable contact gap, integral shorting bar and cover sealing for maximum product safety and performance. The adjustable contact gap allows for different levels of protection when required.
