The SI-3012KS-TL is an adjustable linear voltage regulator integrated circuit (IC). It is a three terminal, negative adjustable, post-regulated low dropout (LDO) linear regulator. This IC has been designed specifically for use in mobile and embedded systems and operates at up to 1.2A continuous load current and with a dropout voltage of only 0.6V at full load. Furthermore, the SI-3012KS-TL features an over-current and short-circuit protection, as well as thermal shutdown protection.

When the output voltage exceeds the reference voltage, the MOSFET is switched off, reducing the current flow.
