The SI2457-C-FSR is an interface design developed in order to offer a reliable, high speed solution when connecting host systems with a range of gigabit internet providers and consumer electronics systems. It consists of a physical layer device, along with the necessary host software, allowing it to provide ethernet data transmission over coaxial cables.

The device consists of a network transceiver, which is interfaced to a coaxial cable with a BNC connector.
