The SI3227-E-FQR is a chip equipped with an integrated battery interface, featuring an Easy-On controller, an integrated charging and fuel gauging system. It is an innovative alternative to standalone chargers, converters and battery value regulators for applications such as portable digital products, smartphones, tablet PCs, laptops, Wearables and other electronic products.
The SI3227-E-FQR integrates three functions into one chip, designed to make batteries last longer, charge quickly and allow for optimized power management. The chip also employs a two-phase charge algorithm - pre-charging and then a complete fast-mount-level charging stage. The pre-charge stage reduces errors due to trickle current caused by aged cells or short-circuiting. It then optimizes the battery\'s life cycle expectancy.
The integrated battery interface of the SI3227-E-FQR is the fuel gauging circuit. It features a patented impedance tracking coupled with a embedded analog-based fuel gauge monitoring system.
