Introduction
RF Receivers are widely used in various fields, such as wireless communications, broadcast and industrial control. In particular, SI4754-A10-GM, a high performance receiver based on Silicon Laboratories® Si4754-A10-GM, is applied for a variety of applications.
Application Field
SI4754-A10-GM receiver is typically applied in FM/AM radio systems. It is capable of receiving analog FM and AM broadcasts, decodes and displays them clearly. Working Principle
The SI4754-A10-GM receiver is a high efficiency IC based receiver which can receive FM, AM and Ultasonic signals. The core of the receiver is a high-engine analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and digital-to-analog converter (DAC) integrated circuit. It can process FM signal by using direct conversion FM demodulation technique, which makes the processor achieve fast digital conversion. The receiver can receive any FM, AM or ultrasonic signals and convert them into digital signals.
Furthermore, this receiver uses a noise-suppression circuit to filter out the signals in a noisy environment, thus improving the signal-to-noise ratio. Also, a gain control circuit is used to adjust the gain of the receiver in order to optimize sensitivity and selectivity.
Finally, the integrated circuit is combined with an audio amplifier and a speaker output. The speaker output transmits the audio signal from the receiver and the audio amplifier increases the sound level of the signal to a certain level. The audio amplifier is powered by 3.3V supply from the MMCM and a 384kHz I2C use master clock is also provided to ensure clock synchronization.
