The DDS component consists of a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) and a Digital–to–Analog Converter (DAC). The PLL component is used to capture the clean and highly accurate phase and frequency information of an incoming reference signal, making it possible to generate high-frequency output clocks with extremely low-jitter. The DAC component then converts the digital output of the PLL component into 10 clock outputs covering a wide range of frequency ranges.Clock Output OptionsSI5338B-B06221-GMR offers several output clock options, including differential clock outputs, single ended outputs, and an adjustable SSC (Spread Spectrum Clocking) output that allows the device to be configured as a clock multiplier or clock divider.
