The SI5338C-B09024-GM integrates a configurable oscillator, clock buffers, frequency synthesizer, and control logic into a single package. It supports up to 32 inputs/outputs and provides programmable output frequency up to 800MHz and input frequency up to 128MHz. It provides high performance timing functions such as jitter attenuation, zero delay buffer, spread spectrum, and fan-out buffer (FOB).

The SI5338C-B09024-GM is designed to meet specific requirements in application-specific clock and timing applications. For example, in a high-end server, its FOBs can multiplex and buffer input clocks from various system components. Its jitter filtering circuit is capable of attenuating the accumulated jitter inputs from various clock sources, such as CPU, south bridge, system management controller, and DRAM. Its wide input frequency range is also suitable for automotive applications, where the input frequency can change due to the vehicle speed or environmental changes. Furthermore, its high-quality output helps improve the Noise Immunity (NI) performance in data communication systems.

At the heart of the SI5338C-B09024-GM is the SiTime CONFIGURA® programmable integrated circuit, which allows the output frequency and timing characteristics to be easily and quickly programmed. It consists of a programmable Frequency Synthesis Core (FS Core), Clock Fan-Out Circuits (CFOCs), and a flexible control interface. The FS Core uses the patented Delta-Sigma architecture and enables up to 8MHz tuning accuracy, low jitter performance, and fast lock time. The CFOCs provide up to 800MHz of clock output frequency with low jitter and low power.
