Working Principle:

The SI5350A-B05934-GT clock generator PLL consists of four independent phase-locked loops (PLLs) and a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The PLLs enable the independent control of any two frequency factors: frequency multiplication (M) and frequency division (N). The main clock input is identified and the other three PLLs are configured through M and N multipliers. The outputs are generated from each PLL and they can be used as reference clocks or dividing clocks. The output of the PLLs is then coupled to the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) input to accumulate more frequency multiplication. Depending on the combination of M and N values and input frequency, it is possible to generate frequencies greater than the VCO maximum frequency. This VCO, in turn, generates the output frequency at the PLL exit. Therefore, the combination of the PLLs and VCO allows for the generation of any desired output frequency on the same device.
