Digital Isolators are circuit components used to mitigate the process of electrical current passing between two systems, in order to prevent electric shock and other forms of potential danger. They are also often used in applications where radio frequency interference (RFI) could be an issue. A perfect example of a digital isolator is the SI8735BC-ISR.
The SI8735BC- ISR is a hysteresis-coupled isolated gate driver that comes in a surface mount 8-pin plastic package. It is an adjustable current-mode driver, designed to be used with a power MOSFET pass element. The features of the SI8735BC-ISR include low output offset voltage, low input offset voltage, fast slew rate, and high open-drain output voltage.
