The other operating regions include REGION2, where the operating frequency is reduced; REGION3, which is a single buck switched mode; and REGION4, which is the low wiring complexity Buckle Buck.

The SIP12116DB is designed to offer high power conversion efficiency, high EMI performance, and excellent dynamic response. It is based around a primary N-MOSFET/N-Power PNP topology, operating in a quasi-resonant mode. The device includes a built-in frequency multiplier and power factor control for improved current waveform performance. It also features an adjustable frequency range, allowing for improved flexibility in the design of a wide range of applications. Additionally, the board is provided with a separate rectified voltage sense line to eliminate the need for a DC-DC boost converter to provide the voltage needed for PFC control.

It has output current sense and foldback capability, and supports input, output, under-voltage and over-current lockouts.
