SIT1602ACR1-25S stands for Seiko Instruments Monolithic Crystal Oscillator Module, which is based on a temperature compensated SEIKO IC-crystal unit with a micro-controller for frequency setting. It features a high initial accuracy and superior shock resistance, making it perfectly applicable for automotive, telecommunications, and railroad applications. Its application fields also include portable devices, wireless communication equipment, test and instrumentation equipment, game consoles, financial machinery, automatic vending machines and digital cameras.

In term of working principle, SIT1602ACR1-25S is a programmable oscillator that uses an external input signal to control the frequency of the output signal. The output frequency is determined by the input frequency as well as by the internal frequency setting and the loop component. The internal frequency setting can be changed with a resistor or a capacitor, two popular methods for frequency setting.
