Programmable oscillators are mainly used in frequency control, phase lock and frequency synthesis applications. SIT1602BCE7-33S is a type of programmable oscillator with a wide range of uses.

The SIT1602BCE7-33S generates a range of frequencies from 4MHz to 40MHz depending on the user’s requirements. It offers a very low jitter option for precision frequency control and synchronization, making it ideal for use in Mobile Equipment (GSM, WCDMA, LTE), Set Top Boxes, GPS, Wi-Fi and Digital TV applications.

The SIT1602BCE7-33S is a “divider-only” frequency synthesizer which can be programmed to generate frequency offsets, choose a reference frequency, divide it by a custom number, and supply an error-free signal. This enables the user to shift the frequency of an audio signal or clock signal in order to avoid interference or harmonics.

The device can be controlled by SPI and I2C interfaces and is programmed through either a frequency program or a shift register program. The frequency program input is used for programming the oscillator frequency and the shift register program inputs are used for programming a number of device settings such as phase-accurate synchronization, duty cycle, the number of clock edges, and power-saving settings.

The SIT1602BCE7-33S can be used to create high-precision frequency signals using advanced frequency synthesizing techniques such as frequency offset, frequency search tuning, digital PLL and loop filter. The digital PLL circuitry of the oscillator is able to detect frequency deviations and lock onto the set frequency, resulting in very accurate frequency signals.

The SIT1602BCE7-33S also features a Temperature Compensation (TC) mode, which allows the oscillator to adjust its frequency output automatically and continuously against temperature variations, making it ideal for applications where long-term stability is required.

The SIT1602BCE7-33S is a programmable oscillator that can be used for a wide range of frequency control, phase locking and frequency synthesis applications. With its low jitter and wide frequency range, it offers the user a very versatile solution for their applications. Furthermore, the Temperature Compensation mode ensures that it performs consistently and accurately over a wide temperature range.
