The SIT3809AI-C-33NZ (Schlumberger Industrial Technologies) is an programmable oscillator specifically designed to cover the frequency range from 25KHz to 500MHz & with a maximum current drain of 5mA. It is a major tool in many industrial, medical and military applications.The SIT3809AI-C-33NZ is a high temperature and voltage stable electronic circuit which features very low phase noise and excellent temperature stability, augmented by its temperature compensation circuitry. This oscillator is tightly integrated and enables a large frequency adjustment range with high precision. This oscillator can generate a rectangular or sine wave signal, which can be used in any number of applications.The most common applications of the SIT3809AI-C-33NZ are radio equipment, signal generators, modulators, clocks, voltage-controlled oscillators (VCO) and transponders. Its ultra-low phase noise and wide tuning range allow for reduced design time and cost, as well as improved system performance.The SIT3809AI-C-33NZ is powered from 3.3V to 5V and supports an output frequency range from 25KHz to 500MHz. It could be used as a clock signal generator, a signal reference (with a jitter of < 0.1ps RMS) or as an adjustable frequency sine or rectangular wave. The SIT3809AI-C-33NZ features excellent stability, temperature compensation, and low-phase noise properties.The operating frequency of the SIT3809AI-C-33NZ is programmed via the digital logic levels present at the 3-bit FPDATx input pins. When the logic levels on these pins are changed, the oscillator adjusts its frequency to the new setting, taking into account the oscillator\'s internal configuration. The Chip Enable pin must be enabled for the oscillator to power up and operate normally.The SIT3809AI-C-33NZ works according to the phase locked loop (PLL) principle. When power is applied, an internal reference signal is generated. A low noise voltage controlled oscillator is coupled to the reference signal through a programmable logic circuit, which adjusts the frequency of the oscillator according to the logic embedded inside it. The output frequency is then determined by the data written onto the FPDATx pins.The SIT3809AI-C-33NZ features a CMOS output and input range of 1V-DL to 1V+DL, a power supply of 3.0V to 5.5V, a control voltage range of 400mV to 600mV and a maximum operating temperature of 85°C.
