Programmable Oscillators

Programmable oscillators are oscillators with an adjustable frequency, such as SIT8008ACL7-28S. These oscillators are typically dynamic, type-based and temperature-stable. The oscillator enables low current consumption, high accuracy and very fast frequency switching, suitably meeting the most challenging timing requirements. The timing accuracy is ±50ppm and the cycle-time is just 248ns at base oscillation frequency. Additionally, a wide output signal type range is available. Signal types include Standard LVCMOS, Low Distortion LVCMOS, Direct Clocking and HCSL. Each one of these signal types offers different output levels ranging from 15pF to 30pF.In terms of power supply requirements, SIT8008ACL7-28S requires a nominal voltage range of 3.3V to 5.0V. This oscillator has very low power consumption (under 1mA) and operates reliably at proper conditions. It has an operating temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C, making it applicable to wide temperature range environments. It also has up to 10 years of operating life and very low jitter (200fs). The working principle of the SIT8008ACL7-28S is relatively simple yet highly effective. It takes a high precision oscillator which can be accurately tuned and keeps accurate frequencies within the desired operational range throughout its operational life.
