In all its implementations, the main purpose of the Programmable Oscillator is to produce an output signal whose frequency and waveform is accurate and stable under varying operating conditions. In this article, the focus will be on one of these, the SIT9002AC-23H25DX.The SIT9002AC-23H25DX Programmable Oscillator is a piezoelectric oscillator developed by SITO. With a compact footprint and low power requirements, this oscillator can be applied for a wide range of applications, especially those which require precise frequency stability and excellent repeatability of frequency.The SIT9002AC-23H25DX consists of a thermally stabilized quartz crystal resonator, a control chip, a low pass filter, an amplifier and a temperature compensation. The internal design of the crystal resonator and its layout determines the frequency accuracy and stability of the product. The internal temperature stabilization mechanism provides a 25ppm frequency stability over a temperature range of -40℃ to 85℃.This oscillator is programmed by connecting various capacitors to the unused pins to form a capacitor divider circuit. By adjusting the capacitors\' values, the output frequency can be programmed within a range of 8MHz to 25MHz. The Divider/Feeder circuit exists between the crystal and the amplifier.The adjustment of frequency can be done by changing the capacitor values. This is done by programming the appropriate value of the capacitor into the non-volatile memory on the control chip. The user can also set the end frequency of the divider/ feeder circuit.The output waveform of the SIT9002AC-23H25DX is a square wave with a fast rise and fall time. With its output frequency range between 8MHz and 25MHz, this oscillator can be used to create any type of digital signal with very high accuracy and stability. It is also suitable for use in various types of communication systems, such as modems and wireless systems.The SIT9002AC-23H25DX is a highly accurate, low-power programmable oscillator that can be used in a variety of applications in the communications, industrial and automotive industries.
