AC DC Converters

AC DC converters use power rectification and filtering technologies to convert alternating current (AC) power to direct current (DC) power. The AC DC converter, also referred to as a power adapter, accepts AC input voltage from a wall outlet and converts the alternating current into DC voltage to provide regulated power for equipment, such as computers, monitors and CCTV cameras.

The SL20.115 is a full-range, dual-output AC/DC converter from SL Power Electronics. It converts standard 90-264V AC input voltage, and provides two separate outputs; one at 20 V DC and the other at 115 V DC. The SL20.115 features a wide range of output current options from 0.81~2 A and 5~8 A, respectively. Each model contains built-in over voltage and short circuit protection.

It is designed for commercial, industrial, and professional markets with its wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

SL20.115 converters have an internal AC/DC converter circuit, an output filter circuit, and a control circuit. The internal AC/DC converter circuit includes an AC/DC PFC power factor correcting circuit and a DC/DC converter. Meanwhile, the output filter circuit is composed of a choke coil, an electrolytic capacitor, and a ceramic capacitor. The control circuit contains an error feedback circuit, a digital resource interface, and temperature control circuits.

The SL20.115 features proprietary design and a range of integrated functions. The output voltage is regulated, ensuring accurate performance when electrical loads are changed. The power factor is corrected at 0.99, and the device\'s power efficiency is > 80%. It features temperature controlled fans and over temperature protection in case of overheating. The power usually has a standby power consumption, referred to as "No Load Power Consumption," no more than 0.3~0.5W. The device also integrates a circuit that monitors and protects the output voltage/current from short circuits, overvoltages, and more.
