The SLE66CL81P is based on a 64-bit microcontroller core with dedicated, secure cache memory and a 256-bit advanced encryption standard accelerator (AES-256), which provides high-security cryptographic engines for secure code execution, secure storage and secure authentication of user data. The SLE 66CL81P’s state-of-the-art hardware and software design offers enhanced security and reliability.
The SLE 66CL81P features a USB 1.1 port for software development and debugging; a high-performance coprocessor for cryptography, security, encryption and authentication; a Java Card virtual machine to run external Java applications; and a wide range of secure functions including secure key exchange, secure code management, Java Card security domain management, secure file system and secure message management.
The SLE 66CL81P integrates advanced authentication and security features, including secure boot, key management, cryptography, signature and data protection. A physical tamper detecting device is embedded in the chip to detect any attack on the chip. The SLE 66CL81P’s secure boot ensures that only authenticated code is executed.
The SLE 66CL81P is designed for use with a variety of host systems. It supports user authentication via EMV contact and contactless standards, and the EMVCo transaction security protocol.
