TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diodes are devices that are designed to stop overvoltage events on a protected electronic system or circuit. Working Principle

When the cathode voltage becomes higher than the clamping voltage, the TVS diode diverts the excess current generated by the overvoltage away from the protected circuitry.
