It is a two-wire, compact, modular solution that can be used to replace existing hardwired solutions. With its great configurability, it can also be rapidly deployed with fewer components, allowing quick implementation while saving time and money when compared to hardwired solutions.

The SMTL2-URC has four main components, each of which can be used to create different solutions. The controller module is the central point of communication. This module allows the user to customize the lighting configuration options, monitor and control each LED individually, and receive feedback from each LED. Further, the controller module is designed to accommodate up to five additional modules that can be connected in series, or in parallel, or both, depending on the application.

The power supply module is responsible for supplying the power required for each LED. It is also configurable, allowing for up to thirty-five individually adjustable power supplies for each LED. The setup module allows the user to easily customize the configuration settings for the SMTL2-URC during installation. This reduces complexity and increases the flexibility of the system. Lastly, the MOSFET module is used to provide the driving voltage needed in order to turn the LED on and off, allowing for maximum control over the LED.

The working principle behind the SMTL2-URC is based on the concept of time-division multiplexing (TDM). The controller module sends out a continuous signal that can either be turned on or off by the user. This signal is then divided into separate parts and each part is sent to the power supply module. The power supply module then creates an appropriate amount of voltage to power each LED. The power is then sent to the MOSFET module, where it is split into one signal for each LED. The signal is then sent to the LED, powering it on or off, depending on the user configuration.
