Working Principle

It then listens to the data frames on the BUS line and stores the frames into an internal buffer that is accessible by the microcontroller.
The SN65HVD1471DGK also has an integrated data and overrun error detector. The data error detector detects errors in the data frames by comparing the CRC5 checksum of the received data with the one that it was supposed to be. If both match, the received frame is valid and the data is stored into the buffer. The OVERRUN error detector monitors the acknowledge signals from the other nodes in the CAN bus and checks if the acknowledge signal was received in time.
