The SN65HVS881PWPR is a monolithic bus transceiver used to interface between a low-voltage differential signaling microcontroller or peripheral bus and a multiple point high-speed CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN). This transceiver is capable of powering a node using very low power standby current. Its high-speed CAN transceiver is integrated into a single small-outline package and features low-current and low-side switch-off capabilities. The SN65HVS881PWPR provides a differential bus transceiver with automatic bus-on/off control that enables high-speed, low-power node-operating implementations.
The SN65HVS881PWPR includes an integrated 120 ohm bus termination. The bus shape is defined by an inherent slewing behavior (slew rate between 30 kHz and 500 kHz) and spread-spectrum capability to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). In addition to the integrated bus termination, the transceiver includes a loop-back feature to check the driver-receiver path and a bus-off open drain output to indicate the bus-off state.

Working Principle
