IntroductionThe SN65LV1023ADB is a high performance three-channel LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) interface IC offering high speed and low power operation. It provides an ideal way to integrate multiple interface modules, such as VGA (Video Graphics Array), SDI (Serial Digital Interface), and HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface). The SN65LV1023ADB offers a programmable I/O delay compensation feature to ensure the data is clocked and aligned correctly. This feature enables the simultaneous connection of multiple LVDS channels with different data rates and provides a delay of up to ±150 ns between the outputs.Application FieldsThe SN65LV1023ADB interface IC is well suited for a wide variety of applications, particularly when cascading numerous data interface modules for multi-channel communications. The IC generates an output signal (EOUT) from the three inputs (CIN, IN1, and IN2) and an input clock (CLK). The EOUT signal is then sent to the receivers (inputs to the SN65LV1023ADB IC) and is subsequently converted back to the original logic value by the output buffers. The core circuitry inside the SN65LV1023ADB IC consists of two independent 1-bit serializers and two 1-bit deserializers. The serializers convert the three inputs signals (CIN, IN1, and IN2) and the CLK input into a single EOUT signal.
