The SN74HC646DW is a 8-bit bus transceiver that has two active-low buffer enable (G1, G2) input control pins. It allows bidirectional data to be transferred from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus, each time a valid logic command is acknowledged. This transceiver is used in data transmission applications by providing logic-level conversions between TTL-compatible logic levels and CMOS/TTL-compatible logic levels.
