The SN74LVC646ADWRG4 is a high-performance, low-cost, Octal bus transceiver equipped with 3-stated Non-inverting bus pins. It is ideal for transferring data in between a central operating element and a peripheral device or between two peripheral devices. This transceiver is well suited for use in applications that require 8-bit data transfer and/or timing synchronization.

The SN74LVC646ADWRG4 logic transceiver belongs to the Texas Instruments Logic family of transceivers, buffers, drivers, receivers and transceivers. This transceiver enables high-speed and reliable data transfers while consuming minimal power. It operates at speeds up to 36 MHz with exceptionally low propagation delay.The SN74LVC646ADWRG4 transceiver has two 8-bit non-inverting parallel data ports. It also supports an enable pin, an active-low enable pin, and an active-high enable pin. The data is latched on the rising edge of the enable pin. With the active-low enable pin, the data is latched when the enable pin is de-asserted. With the active-high enable pin, the data will be latched when the enable pin is asserted.The SN74LVC646ADWRG4 has two modes of operation, namely the active LOW (buses A to B) and active HIGH (buses B to A) modes. In the LOW mode, the transceiver drives data from the A port to the B port. In the HIGH mode, the transceiver drives data from the B port to the A port. The SN74LVC646ADWRG4 also has two output enable controls, OE1 (output enables for A port) and OE2 (output enables for B port). Both OE pins can be used simultaneously when the active LOW and active HIGH modes are disabled.The SN74LVC646ADWRG4 features high-performance features, such as high data rates, low propagation delays, low ground bounce and low power consumption. It also features exceptional latch-up and jitter immunity, as well as low power standby mode.
