The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR is a 16-bit 1of4 Differential Bus Transceiver (DBT). It works with separate dedicated power supplies for the logic and transceiver supplies resulting in better performance than integrated transceiver/logic devices. The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR is designed for fast bus-to-bus data transfer in storage networks, communications systems and datacenters. The device implements an independent and direct data transfer between two bidirectional bus systems.
The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR is a Voltage-Mode Differential Bus Transceiver (VMDBT), quite different from a Transmission Gate and Level-Mode Differential Bus Transceivers (LMDBT). A Voltage-Mode transceivers are a mixed signal device, combining both voltage and logic signals on each side of the bus. The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR is a very fast device, with up to 34ns bus-to-bus timing performance. It uses low input and output signals and can handle data rates up to 800Mb/sec.
The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR is a fully differential signaling system which offers the best noise immunity and data integrity. It can be used in high-speed point-to-point transfer applications as well as in multipoint systems. It features separate receiver and transmitter logic supply inputs with separate dedicated power supplies for the logic and transceiver supplies. This allows one side of the bus to be high-performance while the other side of the bus is logic-only, saving power.
The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR features configurable voltage thresholds, allowing operation over a wide range of data voltages without any additional level shifting component. Its differential input and output signals also provide good noise immunity and data integrity. The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR also has a low standby current and high data rate capability, making it suitable for applications with very high performance requirements.
The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR offers improved timing performance over integrated transceiver/logic devices with its dedicated power supplies for the logic and transceivers. It extends the range of system applications to 36V and offers improved output current driving capability. The SN74LVCZ16244ADGGR also has a built-in slew-rate control which lowers its on-board power supply voltage and improves its data rate capability to 800Mb/sec.

Its clocking options include 20MHz and 100MHz support, which makes it suitable for high-speed data transfer applications.
