The SN74V273-7PZA belongs to the family of Logic – FIFOs Memory. It is an 8-bit High-performance First-in, Last-out (FIFO) buffer storage device which can store as much as 256 bytes of data in 8-bit increments. It integrates two vertical packet registers and a horizontal shift register on a single monolithic integrated circuit (IC).

The two ports of the SN74V273-7PZA are data input and output between the register sets. This FIFO is usually used in applications when the time required for one set of data to be received and stored is longer than the time for the other set of data to be transmitted and stored.
