SN75189N is a TTL-compatible quadruple differential line receiver. It is an interface-level integrated circuit in the drivers, receivers, transceivers category. SN75189N receives two differential inputs and provides four complementary outputs. It has high impedance differential inputs to allow large levels of differentially coupled signals to be received from a transmission line or from other transceivers. In addition, it features a wide voltage range, low input and output currents, minimum propagation delay, and high immunity to noise.
The SN75189N operates with supply voltage from 4.5 V to 5.5 V and has a supply current rating of 400 μA. The input common-mode range extends from -3V to the Vcc level. The differential voltage range is adjustable from 0V to 40 mV to 1V. The output current depends on the differential input voltage, with a minimum output current of 0.8 mA. The maximum output current is 5 mA.
The SN75189N has four operation modes: active, standby, disabled, and receive.
