The SN75ALS162DWRG4 is a high-speed fiberoptic interface transceiver capable of managing several communication applications across a range of datacom markets. It is a specialized 10/100 Mbps media access controller (MAC) that provides medium- and long-distance media segmentation functions, data retransmission capability, and high-speed protocols to enable system designers to benefit from increased bandwidth and enhanced protocol capabilities. It supports physical layer communications and data-link layer operations and provides a range of applications from broadcast Ethernet to standard Fibre Channel protocols.
The SN75ALS162DWRG4 is a multi-channel media access controller (MAC) transceiver with multiple fiber optic (OF) transceivers, each capable of transmitting and receiving built-in link failsafe functions. It combines single-mode and multimode fiber optics with an onboard media access engine that enables multiple channels of operation. The transceiver supports 10Base-T and 100Base-T Ethernet and 100Base-SC Fibre Channel communications.
