The SN75ALS173N is a high speed octal bus transceiver (driving and receiving) which is designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. The bidirectional transceiver is designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. The transceivers are designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. The device is ideal for any interface conversion, such as a front end to a microprocessor. This device is commonly used in industrial, computing, and telecommunications applications, as well as in military and aerospace applications.

The SN75ALS173N bus transceiver is designed to support a data rate of up to 20 Mb/s.
