The SN75ALS192NSR is a 16-pin quad differential line driver designed to amplify and transmit logic level signals using current loop technology. It is widely used in industrial, communication and other fields with high reliable and secure transmission.
The SN75ALS192NSR are quad bipolar line drivers designed with the advanced BiCMOS technology which favor both high-speed and low power dissipation, and can run with a supply voltage range between 2.5V and 6.0V, an operating temperature range from -40℃ to +125℃ and a typical power dissipation of 175mW.
The SN75ALS192NSR provides four independent differential line drivers that enable differential signal transmission over high-speed transmission media, such as twisted-pair cables, backplane buses, and coaxial cables. It also can drive 0.12 Mbps through 1.5 Mbps data every channel with a channel-to-channel skew below 25ns. This makes the SN75ALS192NSR suitable for high-speed communication between a controller or master and a peripheral device; for instance, a data-ac-quisition card can use separate differential signal to communi-cate with each device.
Operation Principle
When the logic input signal A is high, it sets the DVss at +5 volts; this voltage is transmitted to the input of the driver. The other input (B) will be pulled up to +5 volts. Conversely, when A is low, the DVss at 0 volts, and B is pulled to GND. Therefore, the two voltage levels will be +/-5 volts. This differential signal is then transmitted to the output, due to the difference of potential, the current flow out of the VOH and VOL, to the load. The output of the SN75ALS192NSR can provide full power-down protection with an input quiescent current of less than 1 µA.
