Each channel in the LVDS receiver contains a comparator and outputs a CMOS compatible logic level. The low voltage transceiver converts up to four LSB data bits into differential signals providing direct connection to the differentially driven bus.The LVDS receivers of the SN75LBC172A16DWRG4 provide a wide range of voltages, up to 500mV peak-to-peak, while containing a low jitter, low phase noise clock. In addition, the LVDS receivers feature embedded ESD protection and filter glitches that enter their inputs.Power consumption is kept to a minimum, allowing the SN75LBC172A16DWRG4 to operate on a single 3.3V power supply with a maximum power consumption of less than 200mW. It also features a thermal shutdown and Auto-Power-down (APD) to further reduce power consumption when the device is not being used.The SN75LBC172A16DWRG4 is suitable for a variety of applications in the automotive, industrial, and communications markets, where high data rate and low power consumption are required.
