The SPDM12301B is an AC/DC converter, providing an efficient, cost-effective, easy-to-mount solution for DC/DC power conversion from wide-range AC input sources. It is suitable for off-line and on-line applications, including lighting, industrial equipment, home appliances, automotive, and consumer electronics. The device supports line input ranging from 85VAC to 265VAC, and provides a pre-set 12V (max 13.2V) output.

The SPDM12301B is a high-efficiency synchronous rectification design. Compared with conventional flyback designs, it is able to provide higher efficiency and better EMI performance. The buried control technology is used to adjust the duty cycle of the power switch, ensuring the highest efficiency under load variations. The single stage of the SPDM12301B eliminates line harmonic distortion and drastically reduces standby power consumption. The integrated overvoltage protection (OVP) circuit keeps the output voltage at a safe level if the input voltage is too high. The on-chip thermal protection (TfP) thermostat can detect temperature rises in the system and shut off the regulator for extra protection.

The SPDM12301B is available in a low-profile surface-mount package (3.7 x 3.7 mm2).
